The International Prizes recognise individuals and institutions worldwide who have made outstanding contributions to engineering capacity building in developing countries, to pro bono engineering technology, or to cooperation in engineering education. They are established by AAE together with international partners, and the International Committee organises nomination and review.
- Recipients may be international engineers, scholars, institutions or companies, and are not limited to AAE members.
- The review process is open, and conflict-of-interest rules are strictly applied.
- Awardees are announced through the Academy’s website and partner channels, as examples of partnership that can be replicated.
